From the folks that brought you TheBigWonderful comes the new and improved Night Bazaar! This time around, guests will have the opportunity to enjoy delicious homemade food, craft beer and cocktails, artisan vendors, soulful music, and a food truck garden on both Friday and Saturday nights. Come celebrate the artistic genius of our favorite Starman and his vast loves and influences. Local creatives, from painters to musicians to performance artists, will ponder what David Bowie means to them and their own creativity. Artist Cristofer Lix will premiere a new David Bowie performance piece, local band Firstimers will perform tributes, and there will be lots of dancing + celebrating throughout the night. You’ve played drinking games at home, now play them with the Denver Film Society! They’ll give you the rules and thanks to Breckenridge Brewery, the first 50 guests get their first drink on the house! Drink specials run all night long, with a bar in the theater so you won’t miss a second of the movie (thank god). Tickets run $7 – $11. Please drink and watch responsibly; only guests 21 and over will be allowed to attend Films on Tap screenings.

Saturday, February 13, 2016 @ 12:30 – 7pm: Cupid Crawl in Downtown Denver

Whether you love or hate Valentine’s Day, come on out for a ridiculous bar crawl in downtown Denver while supporting the Autism Society of Colorado. Check-in runs from 12:30 – 2:00pm at The Ginn Mill. From there, crawlers will set off in teams of 3 – 8 people to a number of bars downtown, complete with an after-party (live music + costume contest) from 5 – 7pm. Tickets are $35 in advance/$40 at the door and include beers at each bar.

Saturday, February 13, 2016 @ 1 – 5pm: Anti-Valentine’s Day Party at the Denver Central Library

The Denver Library’s Anti-Valentine’s Day parties are legendary, with everything from zombie love stories to a Xanadu disco inferno. This year, they’ll be serving up some love reality with a screening of Muriel’s Wedding. And to sweeten the day, a number of happy couples will be getting married at the event! Will there be cake, you ask? Yes, there will be cake! Local sweet shop, Cake Crumbs, has created fabulous confections for the brides, grooms, and guests to enjoy. FREE.

Saturday, February 13, 2016 @ 5pm: Tainted Love at Infinite Monkey Theorem

Show your disdain for V-day by getting drunk off of wine and banging a stranger! Just kidding (maybe).  Marczyk’s will be shucking oysters, bubbly will be flowing, and a “love stinks” mix tape will be blaring. No cover + raffles throughout the night! Both singles and non-singles are welcome.

Every month, hosts Theresa Mercado and Ian O’Dougherty screen a film by Joel & Ethan Coen (in order of theatrical release), preceded by a short musical selection performed by a local musician, celebrating the magnificence, importance, and variety of music from that film. This week’s show includes musical selections by Megan Fong and a screening of A Serious Man. Come share your zeal and fondness for the brothers with other devotees. FREE.

Monday, February 15, 2016, cocktails at 8pm: Amuse Booze All-Stars at El Charrito

Amuse Booze is a new(ish) monthly comedy showcase that appreciates a good, hand-crafted cocktail. Three local bartenders will compete to make their own variations of three comics favorite cocktails. One bartender will be named victorious and move forward in the competition, whilst the audience enjoys tasting and laughing at the results. Tonight’s comedians include Greg Baumhauer (N/A), Preston Tompkins (White Russians), Derrick Rush (Mai Tais), and Sam Tallent (Daiquiris). Hosted by Meghan DePonceau and Anthony Crawford. $5 cover; $5 cocktails.

This Tuesday, Little Peaks Bakeshop is headed to Stem Ciders’ taproom for an evening of macaron and cider pairings. This $20 gluten-free pairing includes four French macarons, expertly paired with four ciders. No tickets necessary; stop by the taproom anytime between 6 – 9pm to enjoy. The Great Debate pits teams of non-experts head-to-head, toe-to-toe, and often dumb-to-dumber in lively debates of the inconsequential. You’re bound to be a flip-flopper after listening to compelling arguments on things that never mattered. This month’s theme? On-Again, Off-Again Relationships vs. Grover Cleveland. Box office opens at 7:30pm, and the feud starts at 8pm. $6 – $8, depending on your luck, or reserve your spot ahead of time.

If you haven’t been to The Narrators before, it is pure gold. It is essentially like This American Life unfolding right in front of your beautiful smiling face. Thursday, February 18, 2016 @ 7pm: Sneak Preview: Rolling Papers at the Sie FilmCenter

Thursday, February 18, 2016 @ 9pm: The Doom Room Rides Again at Crossroads Theater
