Friday, August 12, 2016 @ 6 – 9pm: Levitt Pavilion Denver Presents: Flobots at Civic Center Park

Denver’s own Flobots will be kicking off a free concert series, sponsored by Levitt Pavilion Denver. This series is intended to build excitement for the new non-profit venue, which is scheduled to open in Ruby Hill Park next year. This organization aims to build community through music, hosting 50 free concerts per year.

Friday, August 12, 2016 @ 6:30 – 8:30pm: Backyard Concert Series at Anythink Wright Farms

Grab your lawn chair and join Anythink for a series of picnic-style concerts at the Anythink Wright Farms one-acre park. Either pack a picnic or purchase food on-site. This family-friendly event will feature Casey James Prestwood and the Burning Angels. FREE.

Lucha Libre & Laughs is a monthly event that combines Mexican lucha libre pro-wrestling, stand-up comedy, and live comedic color commentary. If you’ve been waiting to check out this event, this is a damn fine good one to cut your teeth on. Tickets are $10, but the bragging rights are free. 18+

The Stompin’ Ground Games are a year-long neighborhood Olympics where art, culture, and history collide in the name of civic pride. This series will focus on a different neighborhood each month and guests will be entertained by the finest artists and cultural groups that community has to offer. Additionally, participants will learn crucial history about the neighborhood, as well as current issues affecting the areas and ways to take action for change. $5 suggested donation, but no one turned away for lack of funds. One of the first musical groups to popularize electronic music, Tangerine Dream’s five-decade long career paved the way for today’s EDM resurgence. In that time, Tangerine Dream scored over sixty film soundtracks, with many fans being introduced to their hypnotic synths within the context of a movie theater. This series highlights those films. Tickets run $7 – $11.

The Great Debate pits teams of non-experts head-to-head, toe-to-toe, and often dumb-to-dumber in lively debates of the inconsequential.
