Beer Me: November 1, 2016 – November 7, 2016

14633566_10153894780306776_1957268471285110755_oMaybe you noticed fewer choices when it came to pumpkin beers this year. Forbes reported that breweries that normally bank on bringing in big bucks with their pumpkin fare decreased production and in his Q3 report, Brewers Association economist, Bart Watson, noted that internet searches for “pumpkin beers” were down dramatically.

But, for fans of gourd-infused beers, now that it’s November 1, you’ll find them discounted at liquor stores across the state. So, if that’s your jam, now would be a great time to stock up.

Which ones are worth your hard-earned cash? Here are the top-ranked Colorado “pumpkin ales” with at least ten reviews over at BeerAdvocate.com:

  1. Pump[KY]n | Avery Brewing Company
  2. Venetucci Pumpkin Ale | Bristol Brewing Company
  3. Rumpkin | Avery Brewing Company
  4. Pump-Action Pumpkin Ale | 4 Noses Brewing Company
  5. Imperial Pumpkin Porter | Epic Brewing Company
  6. Emma’s Coffin | Trinity Brewing Company
  7. Imperial Pumpkin | Dry Dock Brewing Co.
  8. Drunkin’ Pumpkin’ | Wynkoop Brewing Company
  9. Pumpkin Ale | Upslope Brewing Company
  10. Fermentation Without Representation | Epic Brewing Company
