WEEKLY EVENTS: April 3, 2015 – April 9, 2015
Denver! I am headed out of town this weekend to kick it in Salida, but I leave you in good (well-moisturized) hands. This week, plan on attending a pickle party, indulge in indie film, eat chocolate, learn how to Lindy Hop, shop local, play trivia, rally your community, and listen to some opera.
(And as per youzh, check-out Westword’s 10 things to do for $10 in Denver blog for free/low-cost events this weekend, including The Denver Collage Club at Robert Anderson Gallery and Meownage Daydream at Mutiny Information Cafe.)
The Denver Film Society and SIE FilmCenter present a weekend of double trouble with their favorite dynamic duo, bi-coastal filmmakers, Mike Ott and Nathan Silver. Come shop, sip, and eat. No cover; great way to start your weekend!

Murmur of the Heart displays the lighthearted (but never trivial) side of Louis Malle’s work. The story is about a boy and his mom. The mom accompanies her son to a health spa where he is to be treated for a heart murmur, which is both literal and metaphorical. The film is a marvel of humor, sweetness, emerging sexuality and a remarkable mother/son relationship. No one would make such a film now; come see why. Tickets to this classic film are only $1! Hosted by Denver film critic Howie Movshovitz.
