From the folks that brought you TheBigWonderful comes the new & improved Night Bazaar! This time around, guests will have the opportunity to enjoy delicious homemade food, craft beer and cocktails, artisan vendors, soulful music, and a food truck garden on both Friday and Saturday nights, in a brand-new venue. Come shop, sip, and eat. No cover and a great way to start your weekend. The bazaar is open on Fridays from 5pm – 2am and on Saturdays from 5pm – midnight.

Friday, October 9, 2015 @ 9pm: FFS Listening Party w/ Lipgloss at Syntax Physic Opera

Pop in tonight at 9pm to get a FREE PBR and hear the FFS album in its entirety. FFS is an uber-supergroup, composed of every member of Franz Ferdinand and Sparks Official and is as awesome as it sounds. They’ll also be giving away a vinyl copy of the album with a pair of tickets to the show at The Ogden Theatre, so come on out for your chance to win! $5 cover; bragging rights are free.

Friday, October 9, 2015 @ 10pm: Films on Tap: Predator at the Sie FilmCenter

You’ve played drinking games at home, now play them with the Denver Film Society! They’ll give you the rules and thanks to Breckenridge Brewery, the first 50 guests get their first drink on the house! Drink specials run all night long, with a bar in the theater so you won’t miss a second of the movie (thank god). Tickets run $7 – $11. It’s the last market of the season! Come get your fill of fresh/frozen/dry/prepared foods, adult beverages, local artisan vendors, live music, and bounce house action until next year. Bring your own bag(s) if possible! FREE.

Saturday, October 10, 2015 @ 9am – 2pm: Jefferson Park Farm & Flea Finale in the Jefferson Park Business District

Over 60 local vendors will be on-site this Saturday for the last Farm & Flea of the season! There will be local farmers and produce, specialty food vendors, refreshing drinks, food trucks, and handmade + vintage goods for your home and garden. They’ll also have goats, chickens, urban homesteading, and bee-keeping education! Face painting, live music, bike tune-ups, and family-friendly activities will round out the afternoon. Come say farewell to one of Denver’s newest community celebrations! FREE.

Saturday, October 10, 2015 @ 12 – 9pm: Oktoberfest at St. Dominic’s

This community-minded Oktoberfest has strangely become one of my favorite events in town. It has a great neighborhood feel and showcases some really fantastic restaurants and breweries. This family-friendly event also features live music, a silent auction, cornhole tournament, and a variety of kids’ activities, including pumpkin painting. Come enjoy a local beer, some local bites, and some sunshine. No entry fee.

The Weathervane Cafe may very well be the cutest coffee shop you’ve ever visited. And this Saturday they will be teaming up with a whole slew of local artisans to bring you the Autumn Cement Market. This pop-up market will feature health & wellness vendors, as well as curated vintage and handmade goods. Othello is the greatest general of his age. A fearsome warrior, loving husband and revered defender of Venice against its enemies.  But he is also an outsider whose victories have created enemies of his own, men driven by prejudice and jealousy to destroy him. This is an encore screening from a live recording of a new production of Othello, performed by the Royal Shakespeare Company at Stratford-upon-Avon. Tickets run $15 – $18.

The Denver Public Library pays tribute to all the beautiful monsters and their creators. These four films represent unique moments in the development of the early horror genre. Loaded with symbolism, style and gothic atmosphere – each of them contributed to the monster movie lexicon that Hollywood has drawn from ever since. Wednesday, October 14, 2015 @ 6 – 9pm: Glow at the Gardens at Denver Botanic Gardens

This fall, the Gardens presents its newest event, Glow at the Gardens. The York Street location will light up the night with jack-o’-lanterns and luminaria-lined pathways winding through the grounds to reveal larger-than-life pumpkin displays. Storytelling, scavenger hunts, face painting, live music, fall-inspired cocktails and mocktails, and other fall-themed activities will round out the fun. Admission runs $6 – $12.
