Pro Tip: Illegal Pete’s Soundcheck

Soundcheck-511x3401If you don’t know, Illegal Pete’s is a lot more than a sweet happy hour and Mission-style burritos.

This laid-back, tattoo-friendly Mexican bar/restaurant also serves up loads of community support to musicians, nonprofits, charities, comedians, and artists.   Perhaps most well-known for their Starving Artists Program, which provides free meals to touring bands, Illegal Pete’s is now offering some of that same love to local comedy/music fans through its Soundcheck promotion.

How does it work?  Well, just show-up with a physical (read: not on your phone) same-day ticket before or after the show, purchase an entree over 6 bucks, be 21 or over, and get hooked up with a FREE draft beer.  Free rhymes with me, yo.  A particularly convenient deal if you are attending a show at the Hi-Dive, Lannie’s Clocktower Cabaret, the Summit Music Hall, the Paramount TheatreComedy Works Downtown, the Marquis TheaterFox Theatre, or the Boulder Theater.  Haaaaaaaaaaaaay…

Want to learn more about Illegal Pete’s support for local music?  Read about their non-traditional recording label, Greater Than Collective, and sign-up for their weekly newsletter to learn about the free events and concerts happening at all six of their locations.  Additionally, check-out this recent article on Forbes.com, which not only describes Illegal Pete’s support of their larger community, but for their employees as well.  Ya dig?
