Friday, November 14, 2014 @ 6 – 8pm: Meet Here: An Evening of Idea Brewing and Creative Criss-Cross at the Denver Art Museum
The DAM is seeking local creatives to co-produce a number of new programs over the next year. From their monthly late night program, Untitled Final Fridays, to residencies and outdoor installations, they’ve got a slew of projects where they are looking for community partnership. Come to their community open house to hear about these projects and to brainstorm ways to collaborate. This event is FREE. Meet in Ponti Hall, Level 1, North Building.
Join the Fancy Tiger family for a celebration of their staff and all of their creations. Peruse new designs by Nathan Hall, Loveticket, Fancy & Made, and becky’s buttons, and be there for the debut of Mercury Mercury Design Lab. Explore the possibilities of self-portraiture at diSTILLed: Selfie. Every month, Poses & Pints brings the Denver community together through two loves: yoga and craft beer. The ongoing Ebola health crisis has left many in the international development community with questions, including how to best continue to provide aid while protecting the safety of staff. USAID has launched the Ebola Communication Network, rich with resources in multiple languages and for different levels of audiences. It’s the final Nerd Nite of 2014! Since the holiday season is fast approaching, Nerd Nite is wrapping up 2014 a smidge early with a health dose of random knowledge (and perhaps some shots). On November 18th, kick off a happy holiday season with true facts about the science of GPS; Air Traffic Control (apparently Pushing Tin is *not* an accurate representation); and the wonders of health and human evolution. Drinks and mingles start at 6:30pm, show starts at 7pm. Tickets are $5 in advance; $8 at the door. (And Nerd Nite will return on January 22, 2015!)
